| I have recently heard about the fact that from | |
| now and on all students must learn how to play | |
| a musical instrument. The way I see it, it is not a | |
| very smart thing to do and I totally disagree. | |
| To begin with, some students may have more talent | |
| than others and some may have no talent at all. | |
| As a result, they will not be able to keep up | |
| with each other and some students will giver up. | |
| In addition, it will cost a great fortune for the | |
| school to provide all students with musical instruments | |
| as most of them are very expensive. | |
| The last reason why all students should not be | |
| required to learn how to play a musical instrument | |
| is that all of the students who want to graduate | |
| from school and get good marks may not have | |
| enough time in order to both study for school and | |
| study for a musical instrument. Consequently, most of | |
| them will struggle a lot with combining the two and | |
| fall behind of school. | |
| To sum up, I strongly believe that not all students | |
| should be required to learn how to play a musical | |
| instrument if they do not want to. In my opinion | |
| it has to stop being implemented the way it is | |
| at the moment. |
