Many people believe that all students should be required to learn how to play a musical instrument while others do not. I am personally against this statement, but I think that there are both benefits and downsights of this situation. To start things off. I strongly believe that learning a musical instrument is more of a talent and not everyone can be good at it. Moreover, the students might not have enough time to spend on learning a musical instrument. They will probably need quite a lot of time to proffess at it and that could result into students not paying enough attention to their homework. Furthermore, there is a big chance that not all students will be xxxxxed in learning a musical instrument and some parents might not even be able to afford them for financial reasons. On the other hand, students can benefit from learning a musical instrument too. First of all, that could have a affect on the student's creativity. In addition, students will have the chance to become more skillful by learning a skill that might even make them professional in the future. Considering all the above, I strongly believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages by a lot and from my point of view, not all students should be required to learn a musical instrument.
