Dear Ms. Wagner, I am a junior high school student writing to you in relation to what school rule would we as students like to change. Since I am a student of this school myself, I would like to express my opinion on why the school uniform regulation should be changed. To begin with, wearing uniforms bas a great number of drawbacks. Students are taken the right of them expressing themselves through clothes. Teenagers these days, often show their character, their music taste, or what type of a person they generally are through their clothing choices. So basically, uniforms take away their freedom. Another significant reason why the uniform rule should be dismissed, is because if there are any minor uniform violations, students get sent home and miss valuable learning time. On the contrary, I do have to admit that there are some benefits in uniforms. To give an example teens are not able to discriminate against the wealthy and the poor. Furthermore, the class does not look like a mess from the different colors of clothes. Concluding, whether uniforms should be worn or not, has been discussed for years, and it is a topic which deserves a great thought in order to make a final decision. Looking from my perspective, I would reccommend you, Ms. Wagner, to think about it twice before making up your mind. Yours Sincerely. ALAVADORAS
